Privacy Policy

This policy explains how personal data is processed when you visit this website or work with Macer.lv, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What data is processed

  • Contact data you provide: name, company, email address, phone number and the content of your message.
  • Contract and billing data: company details, registration and VAT numbers, invoices and payment records.
  • Project data: information and access credentials you share so that services can be delivered.
  • Technical data: server log data such as IP address, browser type and time of request, used for security and stability.

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Answering enquiries and preparing offers — pre-contractual steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Delivering agreed services and managing the contract — performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Issuing invoices and keeping accounting records — legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
  • Securing and maintaining the website and systems — legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).

4. Processors and recipients

Data is shared only with service providers needed to run the business: payment processing (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd.), hosting and infrastructure providers, and an accountant where required by law. Processors act under written agreements and only on documented instructions. Data is not sold and is not used for automated decision-making or profiling.

5. International transfers

Data is processed within the European Economic Area wherever possible. If a provider processes data outside the EEA, the transfer is covered by an adequacy decision or by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Retention

  • Enquiries that do not lead to a contract: up to 12 months.
  • Contract and project data: for the duration of the engagement and up to 5 years afterwards.
  • Accounting documents: 5 years, or longer where Latvian law requires it.
  • Server logs: up to 6 months.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on it. Requests can be sent to info@macer.lv and are answered within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the Latvian Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija).

8. Security

Appropriate technical and organisational measures are applied, including encrypted connections, access control, least-privilege credentials and regular updates. Payment card data never reaches this website — it is handled entirely by Stripe.

10. Changes

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in services or legislation. The current version is always published on this page.
